Breathe in Slimness!

A unique combination of 5 Essential Oils can be found in all three NEW slimming products, the aroma of these Essential Oils awakens the senses and helps to trigger slimming by stimulating the breakdown of fat. This is combined with the science of smell known as Aromachology, this is the way that we feel when we smell and is why certain smells for example can evoke a distant memory.

How can we break down fat?

Firstly, sugars and fat from foods provide the body with energy, when these substances outweigh the body's energy needs they are stored in the fat reserve cells known as the adipocytes, this process is called Lipogenesis (the storage of fats).

The breakdown of the fat cells is known as Lipolysis and allows the adipocyte (fat cell) to decrease in size. When energy is needed the body draws on these fat reserves breaking it up in to glycerol and fatty acids which leave the cell via the bloodstream. These fatty acids must be burned in order to be transformed in to energy that can be used by the body otherwise they will reform in the fat cell, there are two ways in which the fat can be burned:

  • inside the fat cell (adipocyte) by activation of the UCP gene
  • outside the fat cell (adipocyte) by physical exercise

The NEW 'Contour' range attacks cellulite by burning these fatty acids by activating the 'fat eating' UCP gene. The smell of the unique combination of 5 Essential Oils activates your gland sympathetic system (part of the lymbic system found in the brain that memorises smell) which triggers the production of noradrenaline (fight or flight hormone) which in turn activates the UCP gene.
