A Shave To Rave About...

Shaving is a major source of irritation for many men, however with our selection of pre-shave and shaving essentials as well as our shaving guide you can prepare to have the smoothest and softest skin around!

How to shave, are you doing it right?

Firstly, our general shaving care relates to those of you who prefer a Wet shave, this technique is definitely kinder to the skin as an electric razor strips away the skins natural oils.
  • Ensure that the beard is prepared for shaving by applying a couple of drops of AROMESSENCE™ Homme prior to applying one of the DECLÉOR Shaving products. This can reduce the resistance of the skin by as much as 60% ensuring a smoother shave with less risk of minor cuts and irritation.
  • Use Jeu de Billes-Cleansing and Exfoliating Face Gel regularly to deep cleanse and eliminate dead skin cells reducing the risk of ingrown hairs.
  • When shaving, run the blade under hot water, this encourages the blade to be more flexible. Avoid pressing too firmly on the skin as this flattens the hair preventing a really close shave. Always make sure that the razor blade is in good condition, as you will not get a close shave from a blunt blade.
  • Always shave in the direction of the hair growth including on the neck area, this is where a lot of men change direction and shave against the hair growth resulting in more irritation and sensitivity.
  • Follow this order for your shave, it allows the courser hair on the chin and upper lip a little more time to be softened by your shaving products:
    1. Cheeks
    2. Neck
    3. Chin
    4. Upper Lip
