Firm and Fit

Add exercise to your daily regime to boost skin and muscle tone. Our advice is to take it one step at a time, especially if you are not used to regular exercise. Complicated or over-energetic workouts can be daunting; so select a routine that you can easily tackle, complete it each day with confidence and gradually build your stamina as you firm up your body. We recommend:

  • A good warm-up to prepare your muscles, helping to prevent injury and improve your performance.
  • Gentle jogging or brisk walking if you are an exercise novice. Cycling - excellent for firming the lower body.
  • If you prefer to exercise under the supervision of an expert, yoga and pilates classes are fantastic ways to tone your entire body.

Eat Firm

Believe it or not you can help to improve the firmness of your skin by simply eating well; the connective tissue which contains the collagen, elastin fibres and fat cells is found in the deeper layers of the skin, and this important layer of our skin acts as a filter for waste products. When it becomes over saturated with waste products from a poor diet, it is unable to keep up its elimination and loses its firmness, often resulting in a cellulite appearance. Introduce more of the following into your diet to restore balance:

  • vegetables
  • fresh fruits (except apricots and prunes)
  • almonds, brazil nuts & pumpkins, sesame sunflower seeds fresh milk
  • soy beans
  • green & herbal teas

Take every opportunity to massage your skin as it stimulates the circulation, bringing essential nutrients and oxygen to the surface, making it smoother, clearer and firmer. Follow our tips each day and take a step closer to beautiful healthy looking skin:

  • Stimulate your skin with an exfoliation once to twice a week; this removes surface rough skin cells to leave skin smooth and soft and allows your firming body care to act more deeply.
  • When showering, use your Alguaromes on a natural sponge and massage over the entire body with circular movements.
