Recently we have received lots of enquiries from you wishing to know whether it was safe or not to use aromatherapy products during pregnancy and if DECLÉOR had specific products to recommend helping improve skin elasticity, reduce stretch marks and to accompany you during each step of your pregnancy. We hope the indications below will help you find your perfect DECLÉOR skincare programme to accompany you through the marvelous "mother to be" journey.
SKIN CHANGES
During your pregnancy the tone and elasticity of your skin is truly put to the test, regardless of the skin's amazing ability to stretch, it may become drier and therefore more susceptible to stretch marks. It is not just your tummy/bump that grows but new fatty tissue develops around the hips, thighs and bust to help to protect your baby. During this important journey, it is important to take care of yourself and DECLÉOR allows you to do that by creating a homecare programme that involves the Aroma Duo concept: a unique, high-performance skincare programme that brings together an AROMESSENCE™ and a Phytotherapy product.
OUR PRODUCT RECOMMENDATIONS
AROMESSENCE™ SCULPT (AM)
Can be used after the first three months of pregnancy.
This 100% pure, natural concentrate is formulated with eight types of Essential Oils (Immortelle, Rose, Camomile, Lemongrass, Lemon, Grapefruit, Frankincense and Myrrh), specially selected for their ability to stimulate the two main types of collagen in the skin: Type I and III and help maintain skin firmness. With its sensual and divine oil texture, it provides preventative and corrective action on the main causes and consequences of loss of firmness: lack of elasticity, stretch marks and skin ageing. It leaves the skin visibly re-vitalised and re-sculpted.
Application: Apply, preferably in the morning all over the body or on specific targeted areas. Follow with either Prolagéne Gel or Perfect Sculpt Stretch Mark Gel-Cream to boost the effectiveness.
PERFECT SCULPT STRETCH MARK RESTRUCTURING GEL-CREAM (AM)
This targeted, dual-action, anti-stretch mark cream provides both preventative and corrective action on unsightly marks and offers intense firming result.
Application: Smooth over targeted areas (stomach, thighs, arms, etc) after applying AROMESSENCE™ Sculpt.
PROLAGENE GEL (AM or PM)
Can be used from the first trimester of the pregnancy onwards.
This firming gel helps rectify all imperfections by restructuring the collagen fibres. This exclusive DECLÉOR formula helps revitalise the support structure of the skin, accelerate the skin's renewal process and diminish unsightly marks.
Application: Apply on the affected parts of the body. After the first trimester, apply after using AROMESSENCE™ Sculpt.
Application advice for Prolagene Gel and Perfect Sculpt Stretch Mark Restructuring Gel-Cream:
To be used on alternating months after AROMESSENCE™ Sculpt. For example:
- AROMESSENCE™ Sculpt followed by Prolagene Gel for one month
- AROMESSENCE™ Sculpt followed by Perfect Sculpt Stretch Mark Restructuring Gel-Cream for another month, etc.
AROMESSENCE™ SCULPT BALM (PM)
This balm works on your body concerns through the night whilst you sleep, leaving you to wake up to better toned skin. With its silky smooth texture it offers an incredible sensation of well-being and comfort for a toned and re-densified skin.
Application: Apply after Prolagene Gel (Optional). Warm a small amount in your hands and apply all over the body or on areas of concern.
All products are to be used after the first trimester of the pregnancy, with the exception of the Prolagene Gel. All products have been obstetrically tested.
PRODUCTS TO AVOID
All DECLÉOR products are safe to use during pregnancy. However, we would advise to avoid certain products as their effects are contrary to the natural pregnancy process. Therefore, the products WE WOULD NOT RECOMMEND USING DURING PREGNANCY are:
AROMESSENCE™ DE BAIN - BATH OIL as this is detoxifying and we would not advise detoxifying during pregnancy.
DECLÉOR CONTOUR RANGE as the three products from this range are 'Fat burners' and you need to hold onto this during pregnancy.
